Christmas in Romania

Christmas in Romania is a major annual celebration just like it is in many other Christian countries. The Christmas and holiday season in Romania officially starts on November 30 on Saint Andrew's Day and ends on January 7. In Romania they also use a seven week Advent season for the coming of Christ. The seven week Advent season starts on November 14 and ends on Christmas. When the Christmas season starts everyone hangs a crucifix and garlic around all of their windows and doors to keep evil spirits away from their house. At the beginning of December everyone's Christmas lights are turned on. On December 5 or 6 children receive some of their presents.

Current events

Two years ago Colorado and Washington legalized marijuana. Many states are also trying to legalize marijuana while others are nowhere close to legalizing it. Many people don't agree with Colorado and Washington and never want to legalize this plant. Most cops will also never agree marijuana being legalized. On November 4th three more states voted on the same legalization ballot that passed in Colorado and  Washington. The three new states voting on the legalization of marijuana were Oregon, Alaska, and Washington D.C. More and more states are thinking about legalizing marijuana. Some states are only legalizing marijuana for medical purposes only. I believe that marijuana will be legalized in almost every state in years to come.

Castle Island is located on Day Boulevard in South Boston on the Boston Harbor. It has been the site of a fortification since 1643. Castle Island was connected to the mainland by a narrow strip of land in 1928 and was no longer an island. It is 22 acres. Today Castle Island is no longer used for a fort but tours. People tour the castle everyday. Other than the castle there is a park, sailing program, and a restaurant. The restaurant is more like a fast food place called Sullivan's. It is very good and there is always a very big line. During the summer there is a sailing program which many of the local kids around the age of twelve attend. Many people like to walk around the Sugar bowl or jog to get a little exercise. People also like to fish off of the pier.Castle Island is a big part of the summer around South Boston.
