Alice

Today I will be talking to you all about Alice. Alice is a freeware object-based program with an integrated development environment. Alice allows you to create computer animations using three D models. It allows you to drag and drop objects to create your own personalized environment. This system was first developed at the University of Virginia in 1997. Alice allows you to create your own movie. First you come up with an idea and then pick a background. Then you pick all of your animals, people, and objects and drag them to your scene. From there you can make them move anywhere you want or make them say anything you want. This software is great for students because it allows them firsthand how to create a movie.

Art of Manliness
The Art of Manliness website is a very helpful website for men. The website teaches men how to become a more manly man and overall life skills every man should know and have. Most men do not have all of these manly skills, which is why they should be looking at the Art of Manliness website. One lesson that I found very interesting and helpful was how to protect you and your family. On the Website Art of Manliness it displayed a video on how to protect yourself. The video talked about how every man should know how to do Jiu-Jitsu. Jiu-Jitsu is a very helpful way to not only protect yourself, but also your loved ones. Jiu-Jitsu is the art of fighting off of your back. Most people are not comfortable fighting off of their back because they feel less protected and vulnerable. Learning the art of Jiu-Jitsu will make you comfortable fighting off of your back and a better fighter. Jiu-Jitsu is so important nowadays in fighting that professional MMA fighters are incorporating it in their arsenal. Professional MMA fighters get paid millions of dollars so Jiu-Jitsu really is that important.

This week in web design
This week in Web Design every student in our class has to teach for a period. We all first had to pick the topic we were going to teach to the class. After we figured out what we wanted to teach we had to fill out a worksheet answering questions on what we were going to teach. The worksheet asked a series of questions about what we were going to teach and how we were going to teach it. There were not a lot of different subjects to choose from so some kids were teaching the same thing.

St. Patrick's Day
This Sunday the 15th, was the St. Patrick's Day parade in South Boston. On this day i watched the parade with my friends. Most of the kids i was around were drinking adult beverages, but i was obviously not. The day was very fun because i got to see my friends. One hooligan even got arrested because he is not the brightest bulb. The parade was also very good this year even though it was shortened due to the snow. Overall it was a very fun day because i got to see all of my friends and i got to watch the parade.

St.Patrick's Day

St.Patrick's Day occurs once a year on March 17th. Every year on that day there are decorations everywhere. Everything is green and covered with shamrocks. In South Boston there is a St.Patrick's day parade on the sunday before the actual St.Patrick's day. On this day in South Boston there are hundreds of thousands of people in attendance. Many people that attend are already very drunk before the parade even starts. There are many fights and many arrests. The other people who attend that aren't very drunk are usuaslly families who just want to watch the parade with their children. The parade usually starts at 1 o'clock and takes a couple hours to complete its route. This year the parade route has been shortened because of all of the snow Boston got this winter.

Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier

On January 3, 2015 the UFC Light Heavyweight champion of the world defended his title. The champion, Jon "Bones" Jones took on the challenger Daniel Cormier. Jon Jones was the youngest fighter to become champion at the age of 23. Jones has a 21-1 record with his only lost coming from a disqualification. The challenger, Daniel Cormier was undefeated at 15-0. This fight was supposed to happen in August but Jon Jones had a leg injury so they postponed it until January. This fight was going to be very interesting because Jones and Cormier hate each other. Throughout the press conferences and weigh in these two have been talking trash to each other and even throwing punches. The Light Heavyweight championship fight between these two went all five rounds. The judges had to decide who won and all three judges had Jon Jones winning. Jones won the fight and kept his belt.
