St.Patrick's Day occurs once a year on March 17th. Every year on that day there are decorations everywhere. Everything is green and covered with shamrocks. In South Boston there is a St.Patrick's day parade on the sunday before the actual St.Patrick's day. On this day in South Boston there are hundreds of thousands of people in attendance. Many people that attend are already very drunk before the parade even starts. There are many fights and many arrests. The other people who attend that aren't very drunk are usuaslly families who just want to watch the parade with their children. The parade usually starts at 1 o'clock and takes a couple hours to complete its route. This year the parade route has been shortened because of all of the snow Boston got this winter.
