Christmas in Romania

Christmas in Romania is a major annual celebration just like it is in many other Christian countries. The Christmas and holiday season in Romania officially starts on November 30 on Saint Andrew's Day and ends on January 7. In Romania they also use a seven week Advent season for the coming of Christ. The seven week Advent season starts on November 14 and ends on Christmas. When the Christmas season starts everyone hangs a crucifix and garlic around all of their windows and doors to keep evil spirits away from their house. At the beginning of December everyone's Christmas lights are turned on. On December 5 or 6 children receive some of their presents.

Current events

Two years ago Colorado and Washington legalized marijuana. Many states are also trying to legalize marijuana while others are nowhere close to legalizing it. Many people don't agree with Colorado and Washington and never want to legalize this plant. Most cops will also never agree marijuana being legalized. On November 4th three more states voted on the same legalization ballot that passed in Colorado and  Washington. The three new states voting on the legalization of marijuana were Oregon, Alaska, and Washington D.C. More and more states are thinking about legalizing marijuana. Some states are only legalizing marijuana for medical purposes only. I believe that marijuana will be legalized in almost every state in years to come.

Castle Island is located on Day Boulevard in South Boston on the Boston Harbor. It has been the site of a fortification since 1643. Castle Island was connected to the mainland by a narrow strip of land in 1928 and was no longer an island. It is 22 acres. Today Castle Island is no longer used for a fort but tours. People tour the castle everyday. Other than the castle there is a park, sailing program, and a restaurant. The restaurant is more like a fast food place called Sullivan's. It is very good and there is always a very big line. During the summer there is a sailing program which many of the local kids around the age of twelve attend. Many people like to walk around the Sugar bowl or jog to get a little exercise. People also like to fish off of the pier.Castle Island is a big part of the summer around South Boston. 

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving this year is on November 27th. As you know it is always on a Thursday. Thanksgiving is many peoples favorite holiday including mine. On Thanksgiving me and my family go to my cousins house in Milton. Most of my aunts, uncles, and cousins are also there which means a lot of people and food. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because of all the food, i get to see my cousins, and i get to play football. The first thing i do when i get to Milton is say hi to my family and hangout until the food is ready. Once the food is ready the kids eat with the kids and the adults with the adults. After everyone is done eating we all go to the yard and have a huge football game. When my team wins and the game is over everyone comes back inside to eat desert. After desert we all watch a movie. I am usually there for the whole day and i always have a great time.

C.A.T. system

A C.A.T. system in bowling is the way scoring is tracked. C.A.T. stands for Computer Aided Tracking System.. It changes the way scoring is tracked so it is easier to comprehend by bowlers, spectators, and writers. The C.A.T. system is helpful because human eye cannot pick up or the human brain cannot immediately comprehend bowling information. C.A.T.S was invented by the American Bowling Congress and Women's International Bowling Congress in Greendale, Wis. The C.A.T. System shows:

• The ball position at the arrows
• The ball position at the pins
• The initial velocity of the ball when it leaves the bolwers hand
• The launch angle of the ball from the foul line
• The entry angle at the pins
• The rotation of the ball as it travels sixty feet to the pins
• The pins left standing

The Dark Web

The Dark Web is all networks on the internet that nobody can reach. It the the part of the internet where no one can look and see what your are doing. It is where you can do something without anyone knowing. This is a huge threat to the U.S. government. The government wants to know everything everyone is doing at all times. If they don't know what you are doing you pose a major threat and they try to find out more about you. This is the only place where the government cannot see what you are doing and they do not like that at all.

V for Vendetta

. For the past week in my Web Design class we watched the movie V for Vendetta. The vigilante was a test subject for a chemical weapon. The British government would take people and start testing on them. V was one of the only people to survive the testing and he was out for revenge. He wore a mask, a cape, and a hat so no one could see his burnt body. His first act of revenge was blowing up a government building. He then went on tv in front of all of England and said " remember remember the fifth of November." Everyone was preparing themselves for the fifth of November, especially the government. The British government was looking for V everyday for three hundred and sixty five days. A woman named Evie helped V and then was knocked out so V helped Evie and brought her back to his house. V then told Evie she had to stay with him for a year until November fifth passed. Evie couldn't stand staying there after a couple of weeks so she snuck out and started living with a friend. The government then went to her friends house and took him captive while she ran out of the house. V then grabbed her pretending to be a soldier and put her in his prison in his house. She actually believed she was in a British prison and she refused to give up V. V then knew she wouldn't snitch and let her know it was just him. Evie was extremely mad and stopped living with him. As November fifth approached the governments search for V became more intense. On November fifth V met with Mr. Creedy and British soldiers. They also brought the chancellor with them and Mr. Creedy shot him in the head. Mr. Creedy and the soldiers then tried to kill V by shooting him many times but he killed them. V got shot so many times that he did die. He went back to Evie and died in front of her. Evie then sent the train with all of the explosives to the Parliament building. The Parliament building blew up and England changed forever.

1.) The only time people fall in love with a conspiracy is if it has anything to do with them. If it doesn't concern them then they will completely ignore it. If the conspiracy does involve them they will be very involved with it. An example of a conspiracy is Ebola. When Ebola first spread in Africa nobody in the U.S. even acknowledged it. It didn't concern them so they didn't want anything to do with it. Once Ebola came into the U.S. everyone started talking about it.

2.) The difference between propaganda and a conspiracy is propaganda is tangible and a conspiracy is an idea. Propaganda is a false written document. A conspiracy is an idea.

3.) I and most on England would agree that V is a hero. Although V did illegal things he saved England and the government. The British government was corrupt and V planned on saving it. V may have hurt some people to do what he had to and he ended up saving England. This is why I believe V is a hero.

4.) A conspiracy in todays world is the attack on the twin towers. Many people still think that the destruction of these towers and deaths of thousands of citizens was the U.S. governments doing. Most people believe it was terrorists who killed the thousands of citizens. There are many videos of this tragic day online.

Sidney Crosby

Sidney Crosby is one of my favorite athletes. He was born on August 7, 1987 in Halifax, Canada. He plays in the National Hockey League and is the captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Crosby is the best hockey player in the world. He is a center and he shoots left. Sidney was drafted number one overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2005. Every year Crosby is one of the leading scorers every year and has been for his whole career. Crosby has also been a captain of the Canadian hockey team for the Olympics. 

halloween web page

Over the past week i have been creating my own halloween page. There were many steps to creating this long project. The necessary requirements to get an A on this project was a sketch, a table, marquee, 3-5 links, videos, rollover GIFs, JPEG rollovers, color schemes, content, header using flaming text, and a blog post. I have done all of these requirements and believe i deserve an A. My project has not only a very colorful background but a color header. I also have many GIF rollovers and JPEG rollovers. I also have a video and the links to the video. The content brings my project all together making it flow nicely.

Fox Broadcasting Company is an American commercial broadcast television network known as Fox. Fox Broadcasting Company is owned by Fox Entertainment Group. It is available in the U.S. and internationally. Fox was founded in October 1985 by Rupert Murdoch and Barry Diller. Fox headquarters is located in Los Angeles, California. If i work at Fox when i am older it will be a great career. I will be making great money and i will love my job. Most people hate their job but if i worked at Fox it would be fun to go to work everyday.

Vietnam Veterans of America

Over the past week or so i have been creating a web page about Vietnam Veterans of America. To create this page i used Adobe Dreamweaver. To complete this assignment i had to get pictures, videos, research, and GIFS about Vietnam Veterans of America. I made a green webpage with yellow text and it looked wonderful. I also made a great title by using flamingtext.com.

My Weekend

Over the weekend I played football in South Boston, MA with my friends and Flabbo. We played friday and i was named MVP of the game. I had 6 Touchdowns and no one could stop me. Saturday and Sunday i had hockey. I played two games, one in Concord,MA and another in Dorchester,MA. We won both games and I had three goals and two assists in those two games.
